The anti-firefox schools + extra banners

Thanks to Steve Fenner's website for this banner.
An interesting issue is brought to our attention, the anti-Firefox schools.
it seems like a lot of schools are strict about installing firefox browser on their computers, and students who do so - get suspended.

Some quotes from students:

"I'm serious, my school doesn't even have anything from Adobe or Macromedia, nothing but Microsoft.I was suspended from the school computers for about 4 weeks because I had Firefox on, and I wasn't using Firefox for very long[...]"

"My school's computers have Safari and Mozilla Suite pre-installed. They locked my account, however, when I used Mozilla."

"I also goto a school that is Anti anything non-Microsoft (an Ohio High school). They block websites like slashdot.org and mozilla.org and use nothing but Windows XP with IE6.[...]"

These and many more stories are taken from:

It makes us feel proud that such actions are taken against Mozilla Firefox. We encourage every school to take such measures and not let Firefox spread amongst the young.
They are our future, and certainly we don't want them to lead the world wide web with Firefox.
Do NOT let the open source fool you. Join us in our battle to stop Firefox from spreading.

Here are some more banners taken from the web for your use of promotion:

Until next time.

Are you guys serious? Are you actually happy that students are getting suspended because they're using a browser instead of another?
You're either:
1. Sick
2. Paid

Shame on you.

Hahaha, I thought this site was real, until I read this post --- You've all obviously been trolled. Don't tell me you didn't notice the Nazi-esque paragraph nearer to the end. Especially; '... ((Do)) not let Firefox spread amongst the young ...'

But yeah, FireFox is shit, regardless.

You people are assholes. Simple as that. What if you got suspended for using IE? Eh?

I'd have to agree with that guy. Your either fucked up assholes, or your paid shills by Microsoft. Tell me, whats your favorite NON-Microsoft browser?

Well, I love open source, but firefox is a giving open source a bad name. First off, it is an unseccsefull Opera ripoff. Why unsuccesfull? Because Opera acually works, and Firefox does not!
Speed? Internet explorer 6 is proven to be faster.
Security? Whole set of lies right here. I got a trojan only once so far, and it was when I was using firefox on my friend's computer.
Internet explorer has waay more experience in fighting malware - they were here when firefox team did not even think about existing!
Honestly, FF fans remind me of mac fags. I have one in my school, he has a Fire-fox T-shirt.
Yep. That bad...

I agree firefix sucks. It is slow, it stops working all the time. When I used to work with it, I don't remember any single moment without having my pc freezing.

Firefox just sucks, really does..

It becomes slow and fat.. Eats memory like it's free.

How about we configure 8GB DDR3 for Firefox to use?

Whoever in charge of the development really should resign..

Chrome is the best, really...

Only reason I was using FF is the ability to install google toolbar/bookmarks in it.

Now chrome has them all and is much faster.

I didn't see any mention of it, but they probably got in trouble more for the fact that firefox security sucks completely. As in it doesn't exist! My son plays little flash games on the web. Most are educational, but lately he's been clicking on banners for other pages and trying new games, and that I find is IMPOSSIBLE to prevent. NO PARENTAL CONTROLS WHATSOEVER. When I tried to find some wonderful "plugin" that I always enjoyed dealing with in Mozilla, I found nothing. Now EVERY time I go behind him and close all of the tabs he's left open, I find not only one browser full of running tabs, but 5 or 6 Other windows, which apparently this crap ball has no way of stopping pop-ups from, and at least 1 login prompt asking for elevated rights to FÜCKING INSTALL SOMETHING!
I hear all this crying for poor Mozilla, and was here in Seattle while they were crying themselves, and somehow convinced some idiot judge, that they were being mistreated by the big bad Microsoft, and all the while I was saying how I'm sorry, but I used Mozilla for some time early in the days of internet, and at the time, it was the greatest thing Ever, but it was pretty dÄmn frustrating to install some "plugin" 22 times only to have it Never work, and as soon as IE came along, and I went to Every page I couldn't get to work in Mozilla, and EVERY one of them either plugged in the piece it needed or just worked altogether, and I Never used Mozilla again. At least not of choice, and all these years later, it still sucks, and I installed it thinking it would somehow be Safer to have on my 6 year old's profile, yet come to find out it's the WORST PRODUCT EVER, when it comes to online safety, and it's going away yet again, Never to be used on my computer most likely Ever.
All I can say is I've been holding off IE8 for long enough. The main reason being for it's blockage of the IE window to runas administrator, which is in all actuality a Huge Sec hole, but I missed it 2 min. after installing 8, and I removed the update, and have stayed with 6 all this time, and just used more of Other security measures. But the last time we had an outbreak of some fake Antivirus at work, Nothing we had in place or that we dug out of our tool sticks, could do a Thing to stop it. Every last one of them ran a scan, and then sat there with a pretty little window, telling me Congratulations! No threats found! All the while, Other windows are popping up all around it, from this malware, telling me I'm infected! As it wiped out the restore points, added itself to trusted sites, changed the proxy setting to re-direct everything through it's upline, and disabled taskman, display properties, and control panel, and took over the computer. Well it happened that one guy came in with this, and he happened to have IE8, and I was able to get to the tools, and hit the reset button, and we watched as Every one of those popup windows "popped" CLOSED, and disappeared into the green shield in the tray, and then It "popped" closed and went away completely, and I was then able to hose it out of there and the machine was fine. IE8 was implemented across the domain, and all other browsers were removed automatically from Every machine!

LOL I have to finish with my favorite story about poor old Mozilla. When the subject of Mozilla or Firefox has come up over the past 10 or 12 years, I've always said that I have to admit, that I've always had a copy of Mozilla on my computer, and the reason for it, was that sometimes I had to hose IE out completely, and I had a great tool called IERadicator, that did it perfectly, erased every trace of it, but then I needed Mozilla, to download another copy of IE! Because that's all it has EVER been good for to me. And I see that NOTHING has changed.

You've got apparently an amount of trollers and Firefox fan bois on your website. This is not nice. The crowd still crushes the interesting people... Well, I should say, IE gets better and better and Mozilla earned users on lies. Shame on Mozilla, right?

Surf honest, surf IE and eventually Opera. I also support the retro-browsing. :) http://cderp.canalblog.com/
